Oh what a truly divine treat it is to be invited into the magical world of Liz Marie Galvan and her famous 'Cozy White Cottage', located in the heart of stunning Michigan.

But be warned! It won't be enough to take a little peek... you're going to want to make yourself at home (and that's the whole point!)

Mother, wife, author, entrepreneur, celebrated interior designer, and self-proclaimed 'cozy enthusiast', Liz has the Midas touch when it comes to creating enchanting spaces designed to not only be beautiful but to be perfectly lived in.

We talk interior design, self-publishing books, growing a family and the changes that brought to her home aesthetic, social media and the importance of staying true to oneself every step of the way.

Q. Liz, you are magic! Tell us a bit about yourself and how you got to where you’re going…

A. YOU are magic! Thank you so much for asking me to be a part of this! I live with my husband Jose and son Cope in an 1800’s farmhouse in Michigan that we have slowly been fixing up and share daily. I’ve had a natural passion for interior design and love sharing my passion with others! I also own a store with 2 other amazing women called The Found Cottage!

Q. Congrats on the announcement of your second book, Cozy White Cottage Seasons, out later this fall! What has it been like publishing your work and what can we expect from your new book?

A.Thank you so much! I am SO excited for Cozy White Cottage Seasons to be released later this Fall! The entire process of publishing a book has been a dream! Becoming an author is equal parts amazing and scary to put my heart out there onto pages for so many to see. However, my love of cozy overcomes those fears. I love sharing tips for others on how they can make their spaces cozy because it’s so important to me. I also find so much inspiration through coffee table design books, so to have two of my own is a really surreal feeling. Cozy White Cottage Seasons is full of cozy tips to take you through each season of the year and I can’t wait for everyone to be able to read it!

Q.It must have taken years to perfect your style and design eye – tell us a bit about that journey and how you keep it fresh and evolving…

A. I feel like because my design style is based on keeping things classic and timeless, it’s oftentimes important to remind myself and my wandering eye of these things. I like to ask myself this question when purchasing items: “Would I enjoy this in my home years from now?” I finally found my true style when I stopped following trends and started following my heart and what I loved instead, since then I am learning and listening daily and incorporating.

Q. What was Covid lockdown like for you and your fam and has the pandemic climate changed the way you live your life? If so, how?

A. The lockdown last spring really forced our family to slow down and live a slower lifestyle! It really solidified the need for a cozy home and made me even more passionate to share our cozy spaces.

Q. How has having Copeland changed the way you style your home? Any tips for moms that want to create a stylish space that’s kid-friendly?

A. Being a mom is nothing short of a blessing for our family! Before our family gained Cope and years of trying to grow our family I would hear comments like “wait until you have kids you’ll never be able to have a pretty home!” It has been quite the opposite! In our case, Cope growing up around antiques and white furniture, it’s not foreign to him. He is accustomed to knowing what he can and cannot touch. Also..everything we have out is kid-friendly even if it doesn’t look like it. Our floors are easily washable and our sofas and chairs are all slipcovered and washable. White does not mean it has to be perfect all the time. Embrace the imperfections!

Q. How have you grown your platform into the powerful position it’s in today? What tips do you have for inspiring entrepreneurs that want to follow in your footstep?

A. Don’t give up! It is a marathon, and not a sprint! It’s so hard to compare yourself to others on the internet…that’s such a natural thing to want to do! It’s not about the number of followers, it’s all about connecting with like-minded people and building relationships with them. Don’t fall into the space where you are posting just for the trends. Post what you want and what makes you happy!

Q. When you’re not busy running your business, where would we find you winding down?

A. I like to spend time winding down on the farm in the pasture with our sheep! Doing easy tasks like picking flowers and gardening on the farm. We are also a cozy bed family and like laying in bed watching movies on a Sunday morning.
